SLAM! The shutting of car doors awoke Scarlet from her comatose state. She looked around, but everything was blurry. She barely had enough time to realize she was in a car before a pile of cold McDonald's burgers fell over in the seat beside her. The noise and sudden rapid movement made Scarlet even more disoriented than before. Tired, groggy, sick and dizzy, Scarlet stumbled herself out of the car. The fresh air was like a gift from the Gods but the hot sun on her skin was like a hug from the devil. "Where are we?" Scarlet asked in a scratchy voice. She then cleared her voice and put her hand on her stomach. Her stomach seemed almost concave.

Suddenly, she felt coldness on her face and she perked up. Her eyes turned to see Libby holding a cold bottle of water to her face. It felt nice, but being touched by somebody else didn't so she stepped away. "Uh, thanks." Scarlet muttered, still completely lost as to what was happening around her. She quickly opened the bottle with the intentions to just take a sip to be polite, but with every huge gulp, Scarlet felt more grounded and present. "Here." Libby's voice seemed to ground her as well. Scarlet glanced over again to see Libby was now handing her almonds. The thought of eating made her want to vomit.

"Uh, no thanks." Scarlet muttered, "But um... where are we?"

With her eyes finally adjusting to the light, Scarlet could see they were in some kind of desert. Instead of Cacti, there were pine trees clustered in areas. Mountains appeared to be made of rocks and sand. The air smelled rather fresh and easy to breathe despite all the sand and dirt and Scarlet couldn't help but get an odd whiff of oranges with every few breathes. "We're here to see Piper."

"We're at Piper's?!" Scarlet shouted. Libby kept smiling patiently, almost as if waiting for Scarlet to finish some sort of anxiety attack. Scarlet spun back around to get a better look at her surroundings, "But Piper's weird cult is in Canada, isn't it?!"Libby happily nodded, "Yes that's right. You were asleep the whole way."

"How long was I asleep for?!" Scarlet shouted again. "Oh, five days, actually. I wish Baby Clover would sleep as long as you." Libby was doing her best to downplay the shocking amount of sleep Scarlet just endured. Libby was taking bags out of the car while Vega lit a cigarette. "I thought you died, no offense," Vega called out from beside the car. "You should eat some of these," Libby shouted to Scarlet as she started stacking the box's of fast food in the back seat.

"Oh, right." Scarlet replied. She didn't want to eat, but if she had been in a coma for 5 days, she clearly needed to eat something. Vega watched from a distance as Scarlet struggled to gulp down anything. A sigh left her, along with a big cloud of smoke. She honestly hadn't given Piper much thought, even on the ride over Piper hadn't really crossed Vega's mind. Much like everyone else, the only interactions they've had over the years would be if someone died. Even then Vega wouldn't really reply every time.

A decade or so ago, Piper decided to live on WishWorld and found herself in an obscure town in Canada called Wabush. She stayed in her spiritual ways and even began telling honest stories about when she was a Starling living on Starland. Piper stopped disguising herself as a human almost immediately and kept the tales of Starland no secret. While most simply brushed her stories off as the stories of a madman, others saw her as some sort of second coming. One thing led to another and Piper now has her own little civilization of those who believe in her stories and claim they are from the stars as well. They built their colony in the sandy back forests of Wabush, where they all meditate and share stories of living among the stars while living in tranquility and peace.

To Libby, this sounded like a beautiful idea. To Scarlet, it sounded like a cult. To Vega, it sounded like absolute madness that shouldn't be condoned. She was honestly surprised when she heard there were humans acting like they were honest to god Starlings. If somebody believed they were from space, they should be labeled as insane, no enlightened! Vega thought to herself. She also didn't know what to honestly expect, and it was giving her enough anxiety to chain smoke four and a half cigarettes in the amount of time it took Scarlet to eat a snack wrap.

"Ready to go?" Libby happily asked with a suitcase in each arm and a Baby Clover strapped to her back. Scarlet chugged down half a water bottle and nodded, assuming one of those bags was for her (Which it was). Vega already had her backpack on her and was waiting by the small trail that seemed to lead into a cluster of trees. As they followed Libby, Vega couldn't help but notice something was off. The trees, which were originally pine trees, seemed to gradually become orange trees. The sound of an oboe sang in the distance and Scarlet instantly felt the need to make a joke about how they were doing some kind of suicide ceremony, but Vega was too busy bitching about the fact an orange tree would never be able to grow in such a cold place and out of the sand.

The trees began to fan out and in the middle of the shrubbery was a large, almost castle-like structure. It was decorated with vibrant colors, each brighter than the last. Everything about the temple screamed space, with an odd touch of the ocean. Statues of various space creatures were scattered around the outside of the building. Depictions of Jellyfish, Seahorse and other various fish all lined a walkway to the front doors. Music was filling the air, and to Libby's delight, they saw a small group of coloful characters sitting in a circle on the porch of the building, all playing a simple instrument. However, the sounds they made were familiar to all three girls.

"Wow! It's beautiful!" Libby shouted to the group of people as they approached the building. It took a few moments for her to realize that the girl with the long mint hair was Piper. When their eyes met, Piper exploded with positive energy, causing the other bandmates to get a pleasant surprise. They all began laughing as Piper ran down the stairway towards the three. As Piper was long and gangly, she was able to hug all three of them at once. "The stars have aligned and I could see my friends again!" Piper happily announced. A cluster of cheers came from the small group of observers on the stairs.

Scarlet was the first to push back, while Vega and Libby both seemed to take a deeper joy in the long embrace. Scarlet had only a few moments to awkwardly stand there before she was suddenly hugged by somebody else. She didn't put up with a hug from a stranger for a second and pushed them off of her. "Back off!" But it was too late and she was already being hugged by somebody else. Scarlet looked at her surroundings and realized it wasn't just them there now, and they were surrounded by people. All of them dressed like some kind of Starling knockoff. Each had vibrantly dyed hair, most of them very neon. Their clothes were mostly tye dye, when they weren't tye dye, they would be simply solid neon colors.

And they were all... hugging? It was almost as if seeing new people was just an instant welcome for physical contact, and Scarlet would have liked a warning beforehand. She sighed and gave up, almost starting to enjoy the physical comfort. After what seemed like forever, Piper was finally able to talk to them. "I knew you'd all be here," Piper said with confidence as she held both Libby and Vega's hands as they walked towards the entrance. "I saw it in a dream, you all came to me in the form of three specters!"

"Heh, dang Piper, what've you been smoking?" Scarlet sarcastically asked from the side. Piper replied with a smile, "Oh just Salvia Divinorum."

"Wh-What?" Scarlet stuttered as Piper abruptly opened the doors of the temple. As they swung open, a cloud of smoke poured out and loud music played from inside. Lights seemed to be hung up from the ceiling, making the place appear to be some kind of rave. In fact, that's exactly what it looked like. The air reeked of skunk, which Scarlet instantly recognized as drugs. She was positive if she breathed in any of the smoke within the room she'd be as high as a kite. The people inside were all dressed like Starlings and they danced with each other so passionately and erotic that Libby covered Baby Clover's eyes as she assumed some might actually be having sex right now.

"Wow, Piper, this is not what I expected," Vega said in complete shock. Scarlet, however, was laughing so hard she had to calm herself before throwing up.
