When Scarlet told Libby that she had to see Piper again, Libby had literally no problem making it happen. Immediately after Scarlet left the room Libby pulled out her phone and bought a plane ticket for her Nanny. The next morning a woman came and took Libby's oldest child, Mackenzie. Since Baby Clover was so quiet and young, Libby still wanted to keep her around. With Baby Clover strapped to Libby's back, Vega watched on in amazement as Libby managed to plan and pay for the entire trip in one sitting.

Libby had planned thousands of parties in her lifetime and she noticed others (Starlings and Wishlings) often misinterpret the number of phone calls, emails, and paperwork that actually go into it. Vega always had a passion for organization and was now feeling a little self-conscious about how she's acted in the past and how she handled certain annoyances. Seeing the scene reminded her too much of a time Libby's passions seemed like an obsession when in reality it was no different from her own.

Libby found a comfort in boys, the idea of an entire sex being at her will, the idea of being able to make each other feel good just by touching was an extreme part of her life now as an adult. Vega found comfort in books, the idea of an entire world being crammed between two covers was an extreme part of her life now as an adult as well.

After some phone calls and flirty texts, Libby was able to get her hands on a very fancy rental car. It was a pink Volkswagen with a sunroof. When the car showed up at Scarlet's dingy apartment building, Libby had the delight of watching the residential children all swarm to the front of the building to see it. As the three Star Darlings left the apartment building, Libby carried Baby Clover on her back with a cloth African style while Vega carried an unconscious Scarlet on her back piggyback style. "Is this your car?!" A young girl asked the group of disguised Starlings. Vega ignored her. Libby happily said "Yep! For the next few weeks!"

"Are you rich?" A little boy asked Libby as she strapped Baby Clover into a car seat. Libby smiled and nodded, "Yep! I have a "gazillion" dollars!". All the kids began gasping and talking amongst each other about it. Vega felt her eye twitch as this made up number. "She could have easily used a real huge number... at least then I could have the excuse that you're teaching kids instead of just wasting time." she thought to herself. As if to prove it, Libby then reached into her pocket and took five dollars out. She handed it to the child, "Here! Buy some candy with..." then she noticed the number of children all crowded around her. "...Wait here." she looked to Vega "Vega, will you get the rest of the stuff? I need to run to a convenience store real quick. I saw one just down the street!"

"What? Why?" Vega asked, "Almost all the bags are yours. I already have all my stuff."

"Somebody has to buy a bag of candy for all these kids," Libby said, purposefully being loud so the children would hear. The young adolescents all began chattering among each other. Vega sighed, impatient, "I'm sure their parents will give them candy." But Libby had already made up her mind. Vega dropped Scarlet into the back seat of the car and her body fell completely limp. "Is she dead?" A little boy asked. "I hope not," Vega answered. She sat down in the passenger seat of the car but left the doors open to try and manage the heat without AC.

More uncomfortable than she's ever been, Vega tried her best to think of something to distract herself from the curious children. She looked to Scarlet, who stayed in the back seat of the car lying in the same position she had left her. She watched Scarlet's chest to see if she was still breathing. Luckily she was. "What's wrong with her?" Another kid asked. Vega felt her eyebrow twitch again, "Look, kid, I don't know what's wrong with her." she then looked to where Libby walked off.

Then she looked at Scarlet again and noticed something. The way the sweat had built up upon her forehead, mixed with the greasiness of her hair, made her look like she was shining. The open roof made it so the light was able to perfectly shine down upon her. As the small clouds passed through the sky, Scarlet seemed to sparkle. It was as if the suns glow was showing Scarlet's true side... shinning but not how a Starling would shimmer. She shimmered how a Wishling would. Vega quickly let out a gasp and almost leaped from the car seat. She took a few steps from the car and looked up into the sky, expecting to see something beautiful. Only her eyes were met with the sun.

She cringed and looked away, both with disappointment and not wanting to risk harming her eye site. The children weren't there anymore. Libby had come back and the crowd of children had moved to her, farther down the walkway leading to the apartment building. Vega sighed and sat back down in the passenger seat. "Ma!" Baby Clover called out. "You said it, kid." Vega sighed. She heard the other car doors close then heard Libby sit down in the driver's seat.

"Ready?" Libby asked as she buckled up. "Uh yeah, ready," Vega replied. Libby closed the sunroof, turned on the car, and the four began to drive off. With both windows open, Vega watched as Libby's giant hair wildly flailed around in a way that almost looked choreographed. As the sunroof was now closed, the light was only shining in through the open windows. Unlike Scarlet, Libby always had a natural glow to her. Libby noticed Vega's staring and gave her a wink. Vega awkwardly laughed, noticing she just got caught. But it was at that moment that the clouds moved and a light shined down on Libby

Vega jumped, turning to the window and stuck her head out and looked up. Once again, her eyes were met with the sun. She let out a defeated sigh and sunk back into the unreasonably comfortable chair. "Whoa, what're you looking for up there?" Libby asked.

"Something beautiful... but it's always just the sun," Vega said in disappointment.

"What's more beautiful than that?" Libby asked. Vega started to wonder that herself, although she already knew the answer. "What's up with you, Vega? We're supposed to be having fun!" Libby said and put her hand on Vega's. Vega didn't smile but was happy to hold Libby's hand again after all these years. There was a homely comfort in doing what they did when they were Starlings. Vega looked out the window and admired the light.

"...I keep thinking I understand Piper's poem. But I don't." She muttered. Libby didn't know how to respond to that. Instead, she watched the road and said nothing.
